The working principle of a shot blasting machine separation system
1. Loading: The workpieces to be cleaned or treated are loaded into the shot blasting machine. 2. Shot Blasting: The machine propels high-speed steel shots or abrasive particles onto the surface of the workpiece. These shots remove impurities, rust, paint, or scale from the surface, thereby cleaning or preparing it for further processing. 3. Separation: After the shot blasting process, the workpieces are carried out of the machine, along with the used shots and any debris generated during the process. 4. Screening: The mixture of used shots and debris is transported to a vibrating screen or a separator unit. The screen segregates the larger debris from the smaller steel shots. 5. Air Separation: The smaller steel shots, along with some dust and fines, are then transferred to an air separator unit. In this unit, the shots are subjected to an upward airflow, which separates the lighter dust and fines from the heavier shots. 6. Magnetic Separation: After air separation, the shots may undergo a magnetic separation process. A magnetic drum or belt separator is used to attract and remove any remaining metallic impurities from the shots. 7. Recirculation: The cleaned and separated shots are collected in a storage hopper or a recovery system. These shots can be reused in the shot blasting process, reducing waste and costs. 8. Waste Disposal: The separated debris, dust, fines, and any other non-metallic impurities are collected and disposed of properly, adhering to environmental regulations.
