What are the easily worn parts of a shot blasting machine?

Wear parts of a shot blasting machine refer to components that require regular inspection and replacement during equipment operation due to high-speed friction, impact, and wear. According to publicly available information, wear parts of a shot blasting machine are mainly divided into two categories: core components of the shot blaster and other system components of the equipment.

Core Wear Parts of the Shot Blasting Machine The shot blaster is the core working unit of the shot blasting machine. Its internal components bear the most direct and severe wear and are the parts with the highest replacement frequency:

**Blades:** Responsible for accelerating and projecting the shot (such as steel shot). It is one of the fastest-wearing and most frequently occurring components in the shot blaster, with a typical lifespan of 200 to 800 hours.

**Orienting Sleeve:** Used to adjust the shot projection angle. Wear on its window affects shot blasting efficiency and the lifespan of the protective plate. Replacement is usually required when the window wear exceeds 10mm.

**Shot Distributor Wheel:** Located inside the orientation sleeve, responsible for evenly distributing the shot into the blade channel. Wear on the wheel leads to an excessively large shot diffusion angle, accelerating the wear of the protective plate. replace when the outer diameter wears 10-12mm.

Guard Plates: Including side guard plates, end guard plates, and top guard plates, these protect the shot blaster housing from direct impact and wear from the shot. These components, along with the blades, directional sleeve, and shot distribution wheel, constitute the main vulnerable assembly of the shot blaster.

Other Vulnerable Components in Other Systems Besides the shot blaster, other systems of the shot blasting machine also contain vulnerable components:

Shot Blasting Wheel: As the rotating core that carries the blades, its disc and bearings will wear or fatigue due to long-term high-speed operation and require regular inspection.

Cleaning Chamber Liner: Wear-resistant lining inside the shot blasting chamber, used to protect the main structure of the equipment, with a lifespan typically between 1000 and 2000 hours.

Elevator Components: Including the elevator belt and elevator buckets, responsible for lifting the shot from the bottom to the shot blaster, these are prone to wear or breakage after long-term use. Screw conveyor components: such as screw blades and drum screens, used for horizontal conveying of shot, will wear due to friction.

Dust collection system components: including filter bags, filter elements, and pulse valves, used to collect dust, are easily clogged or corroded by dust, requiring regular cleaning or replacement.

Workpiece conveying system: such as rubber tracks, metal tracks, hooks, roller sleeves, turntable guard plates, etc., depending on the type of equipment, these components will wear due to bearing the workpiece and shot impact.

Bearings and motors: Bearings supporting high-speed rotating components and motors driving the shot blaster are also considered wear parts requiring regular maintenance due to long-term high-load operation.

Replacement Recommendations: The lifespan of wear parts is affected by factors such as usage time, workload, and shot material, and there is no absolutely uniform standard. Recommendation:

Check the wear condition of wear parts (such as blades and directional sleeves) of the shot blaster at the end of each shift. When replacing blades, they should be replaced in groups, and the weight difference between individual blades should not exceed 5g to avoid equipment vibration.

Regularly inspecting and cleaning accumulated dust inside the equipment, and strengthening lubrication maintenance, can effectively extend the life of vulnerable parts.
