Shot blasting and rust removal process
Preparation: Clean the oil, rust and other impurities of the workpiece to be processed to ensure that the surface is dry and free of pollutants. Check whether the shot blasting machine, dust removal system, steel shot circulation device and other equipment are operating normally, and adjust the relevant parameters.
Loading workpieces: Arrange the workpieces in the shot blasting machine at a reasonable density to avoid collisions. For example, the hanging shot blasting machine fixes the workpieces by hooks or chains, and the trolley shot blasting machine places the workpieces on the conveyor chain plate.
Shot blasting: After starting the shot blasting machine, the high-speed rotating impeller will project the steel shot at a speed of 70-100m/s to the surface of the workpiece, remove the oxide layer, rust, residues, etc. through impact force, and increase the surface roughness to improve the adhesion of the coating. The shot blasting current needs to be monitored in real time during the treatment process to ensure uniform coverage.
Sorting and recycling: The separator separates the used steel shot from the impurities, the steel shot is recycled after cleaning, and the impurities are collected and processed by the dust removal system.
Post-processing: Clean and dry the steel shot and dust remaining on the workpiece surface, and perform sandblasting or water washing if necessary. Spray anti-rust oil, paint or perform plating treatment as required to prevent secondary oxidation.
Quality inspection: Visually inspect to ensure that there is no visible rust or oxide scale on the surface, and that it meets the Sa2.5 or Sa3 standard (uniform gloss on the metal surface). Check whether the surface roughness (Ra value), dimensional accuracy, etc. meet the requirements.
Packaging and storage: Qualified workpieces are packaged and marked for storage to avoid surface damage during transportation or storage.
